Oversee and coordinate labor and daily operations in the Tufting Department. Assign employees and tufting orders, expedite manufacturing processes, verify order data, direct setup crews, maintain shop orders, coordinate scheduling priorities, and support quality and safety programs. The role requires problem-solving, planning, physical activity, and flexibility to work 12-hour shifts, overtime, weekends, and days or nights.

Assists with troubleshooting, repair, setup, reblading, rehooking, rebuilding, and overhaul of tufting machines, warpers, and related equipment. Supports machine operators, monitors carpet quality, reports safety and quality issues, and performs physically demanding maintenance tasks involving lifting, climbing, tools, and extended standing. Must operate a lift truck, use computer and data-entry skills, follow Lockout/Tagout procedures, and wear required safety equipment.

Sell J+J Flooring Group commercial flooring in the Houston territory to architects, designers, contractors and end users. Generate leads, manage specifications, bids, and orders, maintain CRM data, run sales presentations and events, participate in trade associations (IFMA/BOMA/IIDA), meet sales metrics, travel occasionally, and work evenings as needed.

Operate beaming equipment to produce quality beams for weaving. Monitor and report quality issues, maintain safety and cleanliness, perform machine safety checklists, complete data entry, and operate a lift truck. Must meet physical demands and follow safety procedures.

Operate and maintain 13–23 weaving machines: load and creel yarn cones, detect and repair yarn breaks, perform hourly quality checks, respond to loom indicator lights, and physically handle material and creel racks during 12-hour shifts.

Load and splice yarn packages and beams to supply tufting machines, verify lot/color accuracy, assist operators, perform yarn fixes, operate splicing/winding equipment, and maintain a clean, safe work area.

Load and maintain yarn packages on a heatset creel, monitor machine operation, perform air splices, inspect yarn quality and thread path, maintain tensioners, follow safety/quality guidelines, and keep work area clean.

Research and resolve warranty, freight, and chargeback claims; liaise with dealers, carriers, credit and quality control; process returns and disputed invoices; maintain relationships and timely correspondence.
