Element Seven is a web and software studio in Holywood, near Belfast. We design and build websites, web applications, native apps and AI tools for businesses across Northern Ireland, and we look after most of what we build long after it launches. Eight years, seventy projects, fifty active clients, thirty-four five-star reviews. We are small on purpose, and one decision follows from that: the person who scopes your project is the person who builds it. No account manager translating between you and a development team. When you ring three years later, you are speaking to whoever wrote the code. Most businesses are offered a template that makes them look like everyone else, or an hourly arrangement where the scope drifts and the invoice surprises them. We work bespoke, for a fixed price agreed before anything starts. That only works if we scope honestly, which sometimes means telling a client not to build the thing at all. What we build: bespoke websites, designed around whatever a visitor actually has to do; web applications that replace a spreadsheet or a process that stopped fitting; booking systems you own rather than rent, so a good year is not punished by commission; e-commerce built around the checkout rather than the storefront; native iOS and Android apps, typically from £8,000 to £40,000, and honest advice when you do not need one; and AI integration, meaning chatbots trained on your own content, automation of the work nobody would miss, and consultancy from people who have to implement what they recommend. We also run Athena, our own AI platform. Where a small business genuinely needs a straightforward site, we sell one and say so. We host on our own servers in London rather than reselling somebody else's, and we maintain what we build. Deployments switch over cleanly, certificates renew themselves, backups sit away from the machine they came from, and there is a staging site that matches the real one. Because we built it, there is never an argument about whether a fault is the hosting or the website. The work runs from Laganview Golf Centre's booking platform to the Northern Ireland Social Care Council, Haymarket Belfast, QuoPro Recruitment, Portadown Tiles and Clever Ghost, a branding studio that trusts us with its own clients' work as well as its own site. Fifty active clients against seventy projects is the number that matters: most of what we build, we still look after.
