eClinical Solutions Simplifying clinical technology

eClinical Solutions’ elluminate® Clinical Data Cloud offers a platform to streamline clinical and operational data for life sciences companies. Elluminate combines data management, analytics and insights with AI and machine learning to automate manual processes. The platform integrates with the Medidata Clinical Cloud and is ready to work with data from many other systems and physiological sensors, removing the risks of multi-step data handling. “There is plenty of challenging work and problem-solving to do as we expand our elluminate platform,” said CTO and elluminate creator Sam Anwar. As studies continue to grow in complexity, elluminate provides a solution to improve the quality of clinical data for all stakeholders.

Inside Our Work

Working collaboratively to build unified solutions

eClinical Solutions Chief Technical Officer Sam Anwar helped create the initial elluminate platform, but he relies on a great team of engineers to build elluminate’s future. “Skilled engineers don’t want the work handed down to them without having to do any thinking,” he said. “At eClinical, engineers have the ability to be creative and inventive, and then see their work being used in the field.” According to Anwar, the team offers greenfield opportunities for engineers to take on challenges collaboratively as they build and implement solutions.

Producing complex models for streamlined results

For Dalton Macres, a software engineer on eClinical Solutions’ artificial intelligence and machine learning research and development team, clarifying complex systems is part of the routine. He said his background in biomedical engineering and passion for data analysis make his role “the perfect scenario.” After assisting data scientists with data aggregation and cleaning, developer testing and producing models, Macres works together with the product and engineering teams to implement and fine-tune the models in elluminate.
