Develop and deploy robotics software on real hardware across perception, control, behavior, and tooling. Write robust, tested C++ and Python code, debug systems from drivers through behaviors, and collaborate with hardware and animation teams to deliver interactive robotic experiences.

Designs and prototypes robotic hardware subsystems spanning actuation, sensing, electronics, and mechanical structures. Integrates motors and sensors, conducts characterization and reliability testing, and iterates designs toward production readiness. Responsibilities also include documenting designs and contributing to bills of materials and manufacturing files. The role requires hands-on prototyping using machining, 3D printing, and soldering, with work performed in person five days per week in Cambridge, Massachusetts.

Leads machine learning projects from problem definition through product deployment. Designs and trains models for robotic perception, behavior, and interaction; collaborates with engineering to operationalize research; and mentors researchers and engineers. The role focuses on robotics, multimodal learning, and human-robot interaction in interactive character robots.
