Manage and grow a portfolio of 25-50 existing accounts, focusing on retention and expansion across Downstream's site services, waste, and equipment offerings. Conduct regular outreach (calls, email, LinkedIn, occasional in-person), re-engage former customers, track account activity, and partner with internal teams to deliver solutions and identify growth opportunities.

Manage month-end close, journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting for a multi-state marketplace. Support tax compliance, AP/AR workflows, audit preparations, and accounting process improvements using Xero and spreadsheets. Partner cross-functionally to improve controls, automation, and visibility into financial performance.

Generate top-of-funnel pipeline through high-volume outbound (phone, email, LinkedIn, field), qualify decision-makers, book demos for Account Executives, manage CRM activity, and iterate messaging to convert conversations into opportunities.

The Controller manages day-to-day accounting operations, ensures GAAP compliance, oversees financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and multi-state sales tax compliance while improving accounting processes.
