Manages Democracy Forward’s annual giving program, including donor cultivation, solicitation, stewardship, retention, and upgrades. Develops multi-channel appeals, donor communications, prospect research, cultivation events, and development plans in collaboration with senior leadership, marketing, digital, and consultants. Maintains donor CRM records, tracks moves management and solicitations, produces fundraising reports, and optimizes donor pipeline strategies. The role is based in Washington, DC, with in-office work at least three days weekly and occasional travel.

Senior Counsel will lead or co-counsel in state and federal litigation, advise clients, develop affirmative cases, and advocate before federal agencies through rulemakings, hearings, and regulatory filings. The role includes coalition and client development, drafting legal work product, monitoring policy issues, mentoring junior staff, and supporting an inclusive workplace. Candidates need a J.D., bar membership, substantial post-law-school experience, strong litigation and regulatory advocacy skills, and the ability to manage matters independently and collaboratively.

Leads nonprofit compliance across legal, financial, grant, contract, employment, ethics, and regulatory requirements. Oversees charitable registrations, compliance tracking, vendor due diligence, internal controls, audits, policies, training, and compliance calendars. Partners with senior leadership, Finance, People and Culture, and the General Counsel’s Office to translate complex requirements into operational guidance and maintain an effective compliance program.

Develop and execute platform-specific social media strategies across LinkedIn and other social channels. Manage content planning, publishing, community engagement, short-form video initiatives, and performance analytics. Translate complex legal and policy work into compelling, accessible stories that grow supporter engagement and advance Democracy Forward’s mission. Collaborate with internal teams and organizational experts to shape messaging, test new formats, and report results to stakeholders.

Provide litigation support including cite-checking, BlueBooking, proofreading, formatting, e-filing, e-discovery and document review/production, trial/hearing preparation and logistics, pleadings and discovery preparation, and case file organization under lawyer supervision.
