Teams at Democracy Forward Foundation

One-year full-time public interest legal fellowship supporting litigation and regulatory advocacy. Fellows will perform legal research and drafting, assist with court and agency proceedings, prepare for hearings, monitor and screen cases for involvement, and serve as full members of litigation teams. Position is based in Washington, DC with hybrid work and occasional travel.

Lead legal research and strategic analysis on threats to democratic governance; produce memos, guides, and briefings; coordinate coalition working groups; advise partners and internal teams; manage projects and workstreams; mentor junior staff; collaborate with litigation, policy, communications, and research teams to design coordinated, non-litigation responses to anti-democratic threats.

Provide litigation support including cite-checking, BlueBooking, proofreading, formatting, e-filing, e-discovery and document review/production, trial/hearing preparation and logistics, pleadings and discovery preparation, and case file organization under lawyer supervision.
