The Video Lead & Producer will develop and execute video strategies for Democracy Docket, overseeing production and managing a team to create engaging content primarily for YouTube, ensuring quality and alignment with editorial priorities.

Lead and shape Democracy Docket's election litigation and courts coverage. Assign, manage, and edit reporters; translate complex legal issues into clear journalism; coordinate with legal research and cross-functional teams; optimize stories for text, social, video, and membership channels; produce timely breaking and enterprise reporting.

Lead and execute growth and lifecycle marketing for newsletters, paid memberships, and events. Build and A/B test email and funnel copy, run conversion-focused campaigns in HubSpot, drive free-to-paid and upsell strategies, and report on performance while collaborating with Audience Growth.

Lead and supervise a research team tracking voting rights and election litigation; maintain and analyze the case database; create Airtable dashboards and automations; read and synthesize court filings; edit and contribute litigation-related editorial content; train staff on legal concepts; coordinate research across teams and appear on camera as needed.
