Leads multidisciplinary engineering projects for mission equipment installed on vessels, translating operational needs into mechanical concepts and coordinating electrical, hydraulic, and control systems. Responsibilities include managing external engineering partners, reviewing detailed designs, coordinating fabrication, resolving construction issues, preparing commissioning plans, and monitoring scope, schedule, budget, risks, and documentation. The role requires a master’s degree and approximately 3–5 years of relevant project engineering experience, with occasional travel to suppliers and vessel sites.

Develop and maintain business-critical .NET applications, backend services, APIs, integrations, and frontend features using React or Blazor. Modernize legacy systems, define migration paths, translate business requirements into scalable solutions, and own work through architecture, testing, deployment, and support. Contribute to CI/CD, code quality, technical decisions, AI-assisted development, documentation, and knowledge sharing.

Maintain and improve dredging equipment across DEME’s vessel fleet. Responsibilities include preparing maintenance and repair activities, defining repair scopes, analyzing failures, developing technical documentation, conducting vessel and shipyard assessments, and improving equipment reliability. The role collaborates with crews, workshops, and engineers and is primarily based at headquarters in Belgium, with occasional travel to vessels, shipyards, and workshops.
