Provide recruitment services and source candidates for employers; create and post requisitions in ATS/Taleo; host hiring events and job fairs; administer WIOA program objectives and First Source Job Ordinance; manage reports (Taleo, Geo Solutions, CTS); perform job coaching, case management, and maintain hiring documentation.

Supervises laboratory and monitoring personnel supporting industrial pretreatment and NPDES programs. Oversees wastewater plant operations, regulatory compliance, laboratory procedures, data analysis, equipment inspections, operator training, safety meetings, chemical inventory, equipment calibration, documentation, and performance evaluations. Coordinates with engineers, vendors, and management to improve plant efficiency and maintain compliance with state and federal requirements.

Supervises staff and coordinates monitoring of pawn shops and precious metal dealers for compliance with local and state ordinances. Reviews transaction reports and shop records, conducts inspections with detectives, identifies violations, investigates stolen property and firearms, runs criminal histories, places holds, and prepares investigative materials. Maintains databases and documentation, analyzes crime and administrative data, prepares reports, communicates with dealers and investigators, and presents evidence in court when necessary.

Performs government accounting functions including accounts payable and receivable, reconciliations, journal entries, financial reporting, tax forms, audits, fixed asset management, budgeting support, and financial analysis. Provides accounting assistance to vendors, customers, taxpayers, and county personnel; researches discrepancies, maintains records, prepares regulatory reports, and supports special projects and mandated reporting.

Provides confidential executive and administrative support to senior officials, including calendar and travel coordination, correspondence, meeting preparation, records management, research, reporting, purchasing, and liaison duties. Coordinates projects and staff activities, monitors departmental documentation and supplies, supports board meetings, and assists management decision-making. Requires flexibility for extended hours and election-cycle blackout periods in a regulated elections environment.

Provides library services including program and collection development, patron reference and computer assistance, instruction on resources, interlibrary loans, outreach, supervision of staff/volunteers, and day-to-day circulation and maintenance tasks.

Oversees parks and recreation projects and staff, including project design, contractor coordination, work order and site inspections, schedule and supervise crews, manage budgets and materials, respond to public inquiries, and maintain records using GIS/CAD and work order systems.

Designs and reviews traffic signal systems and transportation plans, performs traffic modeling and signal timing studies, prepares plans/specifications, coordinates contractors and agencies, provides technical support during construction, estimates costs, troubleshoots signal and communications issues, and provides limited leadership on complex projects.

Develops, coordinates, delivers, and evaluates departmental training programs. Creates and updates course materials, facilitates in-house training, tracks attendance and exam grades, manages certification/recertification logistics, maintains compliance records and databases, prepares communications and promotional materials, and analyzes training effectiveness to improve employee knowledge and performance.

Manage and supervise staff, design and run community engagement and small business development programs, build stakeholder partnerships, conduct outreach and training, monitor program performance and budgets, prepare reports, assist with grants, ensure compliance with laws and accessibility standards, and represent the organization at community events.

Oversees branch library operations, supervises and trains staff, develops programs and collections, provides reference and computer assistance, handles circulation and interlibrary loans, maintains facilities, and enforces policies to serve patrons.

Answers emergency and non-emergency calls, enters information into CAD, provides pre-arrival lifesaving instructions, forwards and updates info to response units, maintains records, and obtains required certifications. Works 24/7 shifts and may testify in court.

Provide executive leadership for DeKalb County transit strategy, policy, planning, capital investment, funding procurement, regional coordination, public engagement, organizational governance, and technology-driven modernization to expand and sustain equitable, resilient transit services.

Coordinate and manage watershed management projects and programs: schedule and prioritize work, monitor budgets and schedules, administer contracts and bids, inspect for compliance, provide technical assistance, prepare reports, and support strategic planning and regulatory compliance.

Attend the fire academy and training; respond to emergency calls for fire suppression, medical aid, hazardous incidents, and rescues; operate and maintain apparatus, equipment, and station; perform search and rescue, extrication, ventilation, salvage, and basic first aid; participate in drills, fitness training, and equipment maintenance.

Manage a civil engineering division supporting capital projects, plan review, and infrastructure construction/maintenance. Supervise staff, oversee project design and technical reviews, ensure regulatory compliance, coordinate multi‑department projects, perform hydrologic/hydraulic analyses, develop plans using CAD, and represent the department in public forums.

Respond to emergency calls for fires, medical aid, hazardous materials, accidents, and disasters. Perform fire suppression, search and rescue, extrication, ventilation, salvage, and basic medical treatment. Maintain station and apparatus readiness, stock and test equipment, perform routine maintenance, participate in training and fire prevention education, and engage in community events.

Collects residential and commercial refuse along assigned routes, empties bins into rear-loading sanitation trucks, operates lifts and compactors, performs groundskeeping and manual labor, operates and maintains various power and hand tools, assists with events and traffic control, follows safety procedures, and reports equipment issues or incidents.

Performs field inspections and testing of potable water backflow devices, documents required devices and account information, ensures proper installation and maintenance, repairs or replaces backflow components, reviews construction plans for compliance, and supports the Cross Connection Specialist.

Conduct organizational studies and productivity analyses, compile and analyze administrative and statistical data, recommend policy and procedure improvements, coordinate and implement special projects, support strategic planning, respond to public inquiries, and manage mailroom operations and CityWorks maintenance application oversight.
