Designs electrical systems for building construction projects from schematic design through construction completion. Responsibilities include preparing and sealing drawings, performing engineering calculations, sizing equipment, producing construction documents, coordinating with other disciplines, researching codes, reviewing estimates, attending construction meetings, conducting site observations, preparing assessment reports, mentoring designers, and maintaining project documentation.

Provides mechanical design assistance for building construction projects, including preliminary calculations, equipment sizing and selection, schematic designs, construction drawings, specifications, code research, and design documentation. Collaborates with project managers, mentors, designers, and BIM staff to produce quality deliverables on schedule. Maintains project files, researches design options, solves engineering problems, and continues professional development.

Provides entry-level electrical design assistance for building construction projects. Prepares calculations, equipment schedules, drawings, sketches, specifications, and construction documents while applying company, design, and code standards. Collaborates with project managers, mentors, designers, and BIM staff; researches design options and code issues; maintains project files; and supports timely, accurate project delivery. Requires foundational knowledge of electrical engineering, construction drawings, BIM drafting, engineering analysis, and equipment selection.

Provides technical leadership, mentoring, training, quality control, and engineering design support across the firm. Coordinates project scope and schedules, reviews technical designs, develops design standards, represents the firm with clients and professional organizations, presents industry information, and travels annually to company offices. Requires a licensed Professional Engineer with Revit, AutoCAD, BIM, engineering analysis, and strong communication skills.

Design electrical power distribution, lighting, lighting controls, receptacles, and equipment circuiting. Apply NEC, IECC, ASHRAE, NFPA, and IBC requirements; calculate electrical services, conductor sizing, derating, and AIC ratings. Review construction submittals and respond to contractor questions while collaborating with project teams.

Assists mechanical engineers with building code research, HVAC load calculations, ductwork and piping sizing, mechanical construction drawings, equipment selection, and design document reviews. The intern communicates with project teams, supports design completion, and participates in at least one project site visit. The role requires pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Architectural Engineering and familiarity with AutoCAD and Revit.

Manage project profitability and successful execution from proposal through post-construction. Provide engineering oversight, coordinate disciplines, prepare estimates and schedules, ensure code compliance, maintain client relationships, support business development, supervise and train design staff, manage contracts, billing, and project documentation.

Lead MEP electrical design for healthcare projects from schematic design through construction administration. Coordinate with teams and consultants, perform calculations, equipment selection, prepare and seal drawings, manage budgets/schedules, attend meetings, respond to RFIs, mentor designers, and ensure compliance with healthcare codes and company standards.

Lead business development and delivery of healthcare MEP projects, manage profitability and client relationships, mentor and build technical teams, ensure code-compliant designs (TDSHS, FGI, NFPA, ASHRAE 170), oversee proposals, contracts, schedules, and project financials, and act as principal-in-charge on key projects.

Serve as primary mechanical designer through all project phases: schematic design to construction documents. Coordinate disciplines, perform calculations, select equipment, prepare Revit/AutoCAD drawings and specifications, research codes, maintain project files, and communicate progress with project manager.
