Internship to accelerate CFD simulation runtimes using geometric deep learning and graph neural networks. Responsibilities include preprocessing CFD and hull geometry data, training and validating ML models in Python (PyTorch), extending the framework to multiple ship types/fidelities, running experiments, collaborating with domain experts, and documenting and presenting results.

Create and maintain vessel operating manuals and technical documentation by researching manufacturer guidelines and regulations, applying STE, leading documentation projects, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, and ensuring timely delivery aligned with customer needs.

The Business Controller partners with regional management to monitor and optimize financial performance, deliver divisional reporting, lead forecasting and budgeting, provide data-driven analyses and recommendations, support KPI/reporting design, monitor cash positions, and ensure compliance with financial policies across international entities.

Lead and implement change initiatives focusing on the people side of change. Lead repair, upgrade and technical support projects for vessels across Africa from Cape Town. Manage budgets, planning, procurement, logistics, risks and on-site execution. Coordinate stakeholders, identify variation orders and commercial opportunities, and deliver projects valued €50k–€4.5M.

Design, realize and govern Damen's enterprise data architecture and platform. Create conceptual, logical and physical data models; define data strategy, integration pipelines, and cloud architectures (Azure). Ensure data governance, security (GDPR), and interoperability with SAP, Workday and Salesforce. Drive data maturity, advise on AI usage, and collaborate hands-on with engineers, architects and stakeholders to implement solutions.

Create detailed 3D models and integrate HVAC, piping, cable trays, foundations, and related ship systems using marine 3D design software. Interpret customer specifications and coordinate with engineering teams, clients, and stakeholders to ensure efficient system integration and design delivery.

Design and support ship and offshore projects across multiple disciplines (structural, mechanical, electrical, automation, navigation, interiors). Produce technical documentation, perform design and stability/strength calculations, ensure classification and regulatory compliance, select equipment, coordinate with suppliers and class societies, participate in tests (FAT/HAT/SAT), and help develop 3D models and technical reports under senior engineer supervision.

Lead HR strategy and operations for a shiprepair yard. Advise management, develop HR policies, lead a small HR team, manage recruitment, compensation, HR systems (Workday), compliance, workforce planning, and HR reporting to improve organizational effectiveness and employee development.

Lead multi-disciplinary shipbuilding projects for Damen Technical Cooperation, ensuring on-time, on-budget delivery. Manage engineering, supply chain and sometimes production activities; identify and mitigate risks; communicate status to stakeholders; hand over completed projects and follow warranty for product improvement; drive process and quality improvements across engineering, construction, and procurement.

The BI Report Developer analyzes data trends, organizes raw data, collaborates with business users for requirement gathering, and develops reports using analytics tools.

Lead and coordinate new-build yacht projects from contract award through delivery, managing schedules, budgets, risks, suppliers, production, commissioning and stakeholder communication to meet quality, safety and customer requirements.

As an intern, you will conduct the Gartner Data & Analytics Maturity assessment, analyze results, and develop a maturity growth action plan.

Work with business and technical stakeholders to identify AI use cases, rapidly prototype Copilot agents, Power Automate flows and low-code solutions using Microsoft Copilot Studio, Power Platform, Azure and AI-assisted tools, document and present results, and support handover for production deployment.

Internship to analyze and automate the Chain Liability (WKA) process in Accounts Payable. Tasks: map current process, identify risks and bottlenecks, interview stakeholders, explore SAP and Process Director automation, design triggers for missing documentation, create compliance monitoring and audit-proof documentation, and deliver a process design plus implementation plan.

Lead a team of Work Preparators and Planners to translate client scopes into executable work packages, ensure projects are fully prepared for execution, align planning/engineering/production, monitor capacity and productivity, safeguard technical quality, and drive continuous improvement in ship repair projects.

The Tax Expert will ensure compliance with Vietnamese tax law, advise on tax implications for Damen businesses, and manage relationships with local tax authorities.
