Researches new technologies and platforms; contributes to software architecture, development, testing, and documentation under senior technical direction. May apply machine learning and cloud computing to solve problems. Collaborates independently and with teams on software-related tasks while communicating findings professionally. Must obtain and maintain eligibility for a U.S. Department of Defense security clearance.

Develop, design, integrate, and test software systems for R&D projects. Implement algorithms, produce documentation and presentations, and may lead small implementation teams.

Work under a project manager to conduct research, testing, and analysis supporting engineering, computer science, and mathematics programs. Communicate project status with supervisors, collaborate in teams or independently, and use Microsoft Office tools. May work with structured data or query languages; must be eligible for DoD security clearance.
