Success Mentors support at-risk high school students by welcoming them, engaging families, monitoring attendance, identifying barriers, developing improvement plans, coordinating referrals, and tracking interventions. The role involves daily work at assigned NYC public school sites in Brooklyn, collaboration with school staff and counselors, and helping students overcome academic, social, family, health, and motivational challenges. Candidates need a high school diploma or GED, professional boundaries, and the ability to connect with teenagers.

Supports a Bronx elementary school after-school program by engaging bilingual families, conducting attendance outreach, connecting families with resources, maintaining program records, facilitating workshops, coordinating events, and assisting with daily program operations, enrollment, compliance, and community partnerships.

Leads a community school partnership by coordinating with school leaders, families, community organizations, and vendors. Oversees student and family support programs, emergency resources, staff supervision, school-wide initiatives, budgets, purchasing, data reporting, and strategic planning. The role also facilitates support teams, manages partnerships, monitors compliance, and uses attendance and participation data to improve student outcomes.

Lead and supervise groups of school-age children in after-school programs. Facilitate recreational, educational, social-emotional learning, service-learning, and academic enrichment activities while ensuring participant safety. Support restorative behavior management, attendance and documentation, student engagement, and communication with families and school staff under the direction of program leadership.

Directs an onsite COMPASS after-school program, overseeing daily operations, staff supervision, enrollment, attendance, compliance, curriculum, reporting, student safety, and partnerships with schools, families, and community stakeholders.
