Council for Professional Recognition

The Council for Professional Recognition is a nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing career pathways for early childhood educators through high-quality, competency-based credentialing. It administers the Child Development Associate (CDA) National Credentialing Program, assesses and credentials professionals in settings including Head Start, pre-K, infant-toddler, family child care, and home visitor programs, and sets policies and procedures for assessment and credentialing. It supports early education quality.
