We are seeking a highly skilled and solution-oriented IT Data Integration & DevOps Analyst to serve as the Council's primary technical data specialist, responsible for managing, integrating, and optimizing enterprise data across our Microsoft technology ecosystem. This role will play a critical part in ensuring secure, reliable, and scalable data solutions that support analytics, reporting, business operations, and emerging AI-enabled capabilities. The ideal candidate combines deep technical expertise in data integration and engineering with strong DevOps experience to drive automation, reliability, and operational excellence across the organization.

About the Role

The IT Data Integration & DevOps Analyst is responsible for designing, developing, and supporting enterprise data integrations, pipelines, and deployment processes that power critical business operations and decision-making. This position manages data movement and transformation across systems including YourCouncil, Dataverse, Azure Synapse, Dynamics 365, and related Microsoft platforms while supporting DevOps practices that ensure efficient and reliable software and data releases.

Working closely with business stakeholders, technical teams, and IT leadership, this role helps ensure the Council's data is accurate, accessible, secure, and positioned to support reporting, analytics, automation, and future innovation initiatives.

Location: Remote/Onsite as needed

Reports to: Director, Information Technology

Classification: Full-Time, Exempt

Supervisory Responsibilities: None

Travel: Minimal, as needed

Salary: $105,000-$110,000/annually

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain data integrations, data flows, ETL/ELT processes, APIs, and data pipelines across YourCouncil, Dataverse, Azure Synapse, Dynamics 365, and related Microsoft technologies.
  • Ensure the accuracy, integrity, availability, security, and consistency of data across operational and analytical systems.
  • Develop and maintain data models, transformation processes, and data structures that support reporting, analytics, business intelligence, machine learning, and AI-enabled solutions.
  • Monitor, validate, and improve data quality through data profiling, reconciliation, quality controls, and governance practices.
  • Support data governance, security, compliance, and stewardship initiatives to ensure adherence to organizational and regulatory standards.
  • Develop, maintain, and optimize CI/CD pipelines, deployment automation, and release management processes using DevOps best practices.
  • Manage environment configurations and support reliable deployments across development, testing, and production environments.
  • Monitor system performance, troubleshoot and resolve integration, data, and deployment issues, and implement enhancements to improve reliability, scalability, and operational efficiency.
  • Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to align data solutions, integrations, and platform capabilities with organizational needs and reporting requirements.
  • Maintain comprehensive technical documentation and stay current on emerging technologies, tools, and best practices through ongoing professional development.

  • 5+ years of experience in data management, systems integration, data engineering, DevOps, or related technical disciplines within Microsoft-based environments.
  • Hands-on experience with Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Data Factory, Dataverse, Dynamics 365, Azure DevOps, and related Microsoft technologies.
  • Strong proficiency in SQL, data modeling, database design, data transformation, and enterprise data integration.
  • Experience developing and supporting ETL/ELT pipelines, APIs, and large-scale data solutions.
  • Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, release management, automation practices, and DevOps methodologies.
  • Experience with scripting and automation tools such as PowerShell and Python.
  • Familiarity with Power BI, enterprise reporting architectures, and data governance frameworks.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with the ability to collaborate across technical and non-technical teams.
  • Bachelor's degree required in information systems, computer science, data engineering, or a related field; an advanced degree is preferred.
