Performs standard clinical laboratory tests under supervision across departments (Blood Bank, Microbiology, automated/non-automated, Critical Care). Maintains QC/QA, uses the LIS, participates in instrument maintenance, competency evaluations, regulatory compliance, and training. Works with supervision, provides limited direction to non-licensed staff, and completes continuing education and cross-training.

Supervise day-to-day specimen receipt and processing in the pathology lab, manage staffing, scheduling, training, QC, budgets, supply management, and resolve service issues while meeting departmental goals and metrics.

The Utilization Management Case Manager coordinates utilization management, discharge planning, and quality assurance to enhance patient care and satisfaction. Responsibilities include managing resources, ensuring proper discharge processes, participating in quality improvement, educating patients and families, and collaborating with healthcare teams.
