Build and lead Arbor’s human clinical research program, including IRB submissions, study start-up, participant recruitment and scheduling, site partnerships, safety monitoring, documentation, training, device readiness, and adverse event reporting. Develop clinical infrastructure for longitudinal and at-home neuromodulation studies while collaborating with clinicians, hospitals, researchers, and scientific leadership.

Design and validate research hardware for human and animal neuroscience experiments, including ultrasound systems, electrophysiology implants, headstage interfaces, circuit boards, and test rigs. Translate scientific needs into requirements, guide external engineering partners, improve device portability and robustness, determine what to build internally, manage contractors, and prepare documented, reproducible platforms for outside researchers.

Design and run longitudinal human neuroscience studies involving functional ultrasound imaging and future neuromodulation. Responsibilities include managing experimental rigs, recruiting participants, collecting and analyzing data, collaborating with clinical sites and engineers, traveling to research locations, publishing findings, and helping shape Arbor’s human neuroscience program.

Develop and optimize highly sensitive LC-MS/MS proteomics workflows, collaborate across chemistry, biology, and computational teams, analyze and visualize large-scale datasets with Python/R, prepare and analyze brain tissue samples, practice reproducible research, mentor staff, and present and publish findings.
