Sources and develops suppliers for materials, parts, and indirect items while negotiating price, quality, delivery, payment terms, and contracts. Audits and reviews supplier performance, maintains supplier and SAP master data, analyzes purchasing costs, manages regulatory requirements such as RoHS and REACH, and coordinates supplier design changes. Ensures stable supply, reasonable pricing, quality, and material cost reductions aligned with company and project targets.

A 12-month paid development program for graduating undergraduate seniors and master's students. Participants rotate through customer success functions including application engineering, sales enablement, project management, field service, and customer support while gaining exposure to sales, marketing, and product management. The program requires relocation to Natick, Massachusetts, frequent travel across the continental United States, technical and commercial training, and completion of an executive-presented group project. Participants transition into a full-time Cognex role after graduation.

Leads the strategy, architecture, and delivery of Cognex’s Applied AI platform for industrial automation. Directs applied AI research, cloud and edge platform engineering, production reliability, security, scalability, observability, and cost efficiency. Partners across product, hardware, UX, and R&D to ship customer-focused capabilities, drives platform adoption, and builds a high-performing engineering organization. Requires extensive software engineering and leadership experience, cloud and backend expertise, and familiarity with modern AI application architectures.
