Develop, optimize, document, and support manufacturing processes for boats and marine components. The role improves safety, quality, cost, delivery, throughput, and labor efficiency through Lean, Six Sigma, and Kaizen initiatives. Responsibilities include production troubleshooting, new product introductions, root cause analysis, compliance with ISO and marine standards, equipment and tooling support, process documentation, personnel training, and cross-functional collaboration.

Apply atomized gelcoat to molds using air-assisted spray equipment, calibrate and maintain gelcoat systems, follow work orders and quality standards, assist with moving molds and material changes, perform routine housekeeping and safety/PPE procedures.

Lead plant-level quality activities to reduce scrap, rework, and COPQ. Drive root-cause investigations (8D, 5 Whys), implement CAPA, maintain control plans, perform audits, support NPI and supplier quality, and lead continuous improvement (Lean/Six Sigma) projects to improve product and warranty metrics.

Lead plant-wide continuous improvement to reduce Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ) in premium boat manufacturing. Drive root-cause problem solving (A3, 8D, DMAIC), deploy Lean tools (standard work, 5S, visual management, LPA), improve flow, takt and FPY, coach teams, translate warranty/dealer feedback into corrective actions, and deliver measurable COPQ and throughput improvements while preserving brand quality.

Owner of supplier quality at a boat manufacturing plant: manage supplier selection, incoming inspection, corrective actions (8D/DMAIC/A3), supplier development and audits, support NPI, analyze supplier quality data, and drive continuous improvement to reduce PPM, COPQ, and warranty issues.
