The role requires field-based broker support, market development, pipeline ownership, and collaboration with underwriting and risk teams.

Translates stakeholder needs into user stories, feature scopes, technical requirements, wireframes, prototypes, and system configurations. Investigates system behavior and databases, triages bugs, supports issue resolution, and partners with developers to deliver feasible platform improvements. Builds stakeholder relationships, analyzes user behavior, documents dependencies and business logic, manages expectations, and learns commercial mortgage lending systems and evolving technologies.

Supports commercial mortgage servicing by completing annual loan reviews, monitoring covenants and financial reporting, resolving compliance issues, coordinating stakeholders, preparing investor reports, and handling ad hoc compliance projects. The role develops expertise in credit analysis and underwriting for CMHC-insured loans and CMBS mandates while supporting process improvements and AI adoption.

Review daily samples of mortgage applications pre- and post-funding for compliance with underwriting standards and regulations. Assess documents and data, identify fraud or suspicious activity, conduct preliminary investigations, prepare QA reports, support audits, manage approved vendor/AML lists, perform regular QA/QC reviews, and advise underwriting on credit and risk mitigation.

Coordinate Montreal and Quebec transaction pipelines from mandate to archiving, manage closings with borrowers/lenders/legal teams, ensure AML/FINTRAC/KYC and AMF compliance, maintain data integrity in Orbit, streamline workflows and templates, support regional marketing and events, and manage departmental finance and administrative tasks.
