Leads ClientEarth’s Resources, Energy and Mobility strategy across Japan and Southeast Asia. Manages a multidisciplinary, geographically distributed team; oversees regional workstreams, projects, finances, and partnerships; and drives systemic change through advocacy, legal interventions, field building, and collaboration across environmental, financial, food, oceans, land-use, and rule-of-law systems.

Leads regional strategy and delivery for ClientEarth’s Resources, Energy and Mobility programme across Japan and Southeast Asia. Manages multidisciplinary teams, lawyers, representatives, programmes, finances, and cross-border initiatives. Drives systemic environmental change through legal interventions, advocacy, partnership building, and strategic engagement. Contributes to regional and global organisational strategy while coordinating work across multiple time zones.

Provide legal research, strategy and interventions using energy, environmental, corporate and financial law to drive climate ambition and accelerate Japan's energy transition. Contribute to advocacy, regulatory engagement, and legal capacity building as part of ClientEarth's Tokyo team.

Conduct legal, policy, and factual research on marine biodiversity conservation in Indonesia; develop practical legal strategies; lead agreed workstreams; build relationships with government, industry, civil society, donors, and traditional knowledge holders; and represent ClientEarth in public forums. The role focuses on marine biodiversity law, protected areas, Indigenous and local community knowledge, illegal fishing, GBF implementation, and the 30x30 target.

Lead a team of Programme Managers and provide strategic and operational guidance across international regions. Oversee complex cross-regional grants, including planning, financial management, monitoring, reporting, and closure. Develop programme strategies, implement management standards and tools, strengthen accountability, and coordinate stakeholders across regional, global, fundraising, and impact teams to improve programme effectiveness and delivery.

Build and manage relationships with influential figures and organizations across music, arts, film, gaming, literature, and sport. Lead cultural partnerships, project-manage the team’s involvement in major advocacy and campaigning moments, and collaborate across the organization to support advocacy, communications, fundraising, and program objectives. Represent ClientEarth with senior cultural leaders and strategic partners while managing sensitive stakeholder relationships.

Leads the global People and Culture function, advises senior leadership on organizational design, workforce planning, leadership effectiveness, and change, and drives organizational development across international operations. The role also advances EDI and decolonization strategy, coordinates the People team, and supports growth, international expansion, and evolving organizational models. Responsibilities include advising on employment matters and negotiating with trade unions and employee representative bodies.

Leads the global People and Culture function, advising senior leaders on organisational design, workforce planning, leadership effectiveness, change, and organisational development. Provides functional leadership across the People team and supports international growth in a complex, matrixed environment. Also contributes to the organisation’s equity, diversity, inclusion, and decolonisation strategy, while ensuring measurable progress and alignment with organisational values.
