Summer 2027 engineering interns assist with designing mechanical and electrical building systems, including HVAC, power distribution, lighting, fire protection, and plumbing. Responsibilities include interpreting construction documents, researching codes and specifications, performing basic calculations, organizing data, and supporting project teams. Candidates should be engineering students with strong communication, organization, attention to detail, Microsoft Office proficiency, and a valid driver’s license and vehicle. Experience with AutoCAD MEP, Revit, SKM PowerTools, or Trane TRACE is preferred.

Supports MEP engineering design and construction for municipal infrastructure and roadway projects. Assists with mechanical and electrical building systems, including power distribution, lighting, HVAC, fire protection, and plumbing. Reads construction documents, researches codes and specifications, performs basic calculations, verifies measurements, analyzes data, and collaborates with engineering staff under guidance.

Leads electrical system design for MEP, architectural, and civil infrastructure projects, including power distribution, lighting, low-voltage systems, load calculations, equipment sizing, and power analysis. Coordinates multidisciplinary deliverables, prepares design drawings and calculations, responds to RFIs, works with contractors and owners, performs QA/QC, conducts site visits, supports project pursuits, and mentors junior engineers.

Designs HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, and mechanical systems for public-sector and municipal infrastructure projects. Creates drawings, plans, and models; performs engineering calculations, analysis, and facility rehabilitation designs; conducts site visits; applies ASHRAE standards and building codes; and coordinates tasks with architects, engineers, and stakeholders. The role requires Revit, AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, communication skills, a mechanical engineering degree, and travel to local project sites.

Drive business development in Northern Illinois by engaging clients, coordinating pursuits and proposals, managing CRM and pipelines, preparing client materials, supporting regional BD strategy, and representing the firm at meetings and events to achieve revenue goals.

Designs and provides construction-phase services for municipal infrastructure projects (roads, trails, water, sanitary sewer, stormwater). Prepares plans, specifications, cost estimates, reports, permit applications, reviews shop drawings/submittals, documents construction activity, communicates with stakeholders, and assists business development.
