Teams at City of Union

Presides over the City Municipal Court and conducts hearings, trials, bond hearings, and preliminary proceedings. Interprets and applies South Carolina law, municipal ordinances, court rules, and judicial procedures; advises defendants of their rights; evaluates evidence; rules on motions; renders decisions; determines lawful fines and sentences; and issues warrants, summonses, subpoenas, and court orders. Maintains impartiality, confidentiality, judicial ethics, and required training and certifications.
