City of Irvine

The City of Irvine is a municipal government in Orange County, California, incorporated on December 28, 1971. Operating under a City Council-City Manager charter form of government, it provides public safety through its police department, planning and zoning, building and safety regulation, animal control, parks and recreation, transportation management, street and landscape maintenance, open space preservation, community and library services, and other services to more than 300,000 residents across 66 square miles.
