Leads executive communications for the CEO and senior leadership, including speeches, briefings, talking points, presentations, thought leadership, internal messaging, event preparation, research, and editorial quality control. Coordinates with communications, media, digital, events, and technical teams to align executive messaging with organizational strategy. Supports leadership positioning on international policy, development, science, environmental, and institutional issues.

Conducts donor pre-audits and legacy audits, coordinates auditor responses, monitors grants documentation and SharePoint compliance, develops partner documentation guidelines, interprets donor regulations, delivers training, supports risk assessments, and monitors grant invoicing and cash flow. The role also maintains compliance knowledge resources, collaborates with project and finance teams, and assists with grants compliance reporting and operational tasks.

Expand and maintain the SOILutions digital platform by curating and uploading project resources, reports, infographics, news, and knowledge products. Support strategic dissemination through websites, social media, newsletters, and partner networks, particularly around UNCCD and UNFCCC priorities. Monitor website traffic, engagement, downloads, geographic reach, and stakeholder interactions, then provide analytics reports and recommendations to improve digital visibility and knowledge sharing.

Designs visual communication materials focused on soil health, including social media carousels, infographics, knowledge-product layouts, event branding, presentation decks, webinar flyers, and digital outreach assets. The consultant translates scientific evidence into accessible messages and supports advocacy and policy engagement at UNCCD and UNFCCC COPs and other high-level events.

Reviews and processes consultancy and partner payments, journal entries, accruals, commitments, invoices, and payment runs. Prepares balance sheet reconciliations, records foreign exchange transactions, resolves outstanding balances, supports internal and external audits, responds to audit queries, and maintains internal controls, policy compliance, asset protection, and financial data accuracy.

Supports sustainable finance communications, events, stakeholder outreach, campaign coordination, and programme administration. Responsibilities include drafting digital and presentation content, creating Canva materials, coordinating meetings and speakers, maintaining engagement records, tracking actions and deadlines, supporting website and mailing-list updates, and preparing event follow-up materials. The role requires strong organization, professional communication, digital-tool proficiency, and two to three years of relevant experience.

Provides financial oversight for restricted grants through budget preparation, expenditure verification, reconciliations, donor and internal reporting, audit coordination, cash-flow monitoring, and partner financial management. Reviews grant agreements and amendments for financial compliance, monitors receivables, payables, spending, timesheets, and supporting documentation, and advises project teams on budgets, risks, and donor requirements. The role also reviews partner reports, supports audits, and provides technical guidance to finance assistants.

Develops and executes social media content and campaigns across multiple platforms, manages community engagement, supports paid social activities, monitors analytics, prepares reports, and creates or coordinates visual and multimedia content. The role also supports science writing, event coverage, live social reporting, and implementation of the organization’s social media strategy while maintaining brand and editorial consistency.

Provide stakeholder engagement, policy engagement, and knowledge-translation support for a soil health initiative. Design inclusive engagement processes, facilitate workshops, translate technical evidence into policy-relevant briefs and guidance, and strengthen partnerships and visibility in regional and international policy fora.

Perform satellite image classification and time-series analysis using Sentinel and PlanetScope data; build and optimize ML classification pipelines; develop Google Earth Engine apps and geospatial tools; apply advanced geospatial and hydrological modelling; coordinate ground-truth collection; produce reports, research papers, and decision-support dashboards; support stakeholder engagement.

Manage donor audit readiness and legacy audits, maintain grants documentation (SharePoint), build donor compliance knowledge hub, train staff, monitor cashflow and invoices, develop partner documentation guidelines, and lead a small grants compliance team.
