Leads mechanical design and product development from concept through mass production. Owns CAD modeling, manufacturability, tooling evaluation, factory troubleshooting, validation testing, reliability analysis, and corrective actions. Collaborates with industrial design, electrical engineering, quality, compliance, legal, and overseas factories to deliver cost-effective, high-quality consumer products.

Develops should-cost models, tracks BOM costs, negotiates pricing and tooling with overseas manufacturers, and identifies design-for-cost opportunities. Manages tooling budgets, amortization, MOUs, and price agreements while collaborating with engineering, product development, supply chain, finance, and legal teams. The role also prepares cost reports, supports product reviews and NPI milestones, and travels internationally to China-based manufacturing facilities as needed.

Develop and refine consumer products from concept through mass production. Responsibilities include CAD modeling, manufacturability analysis, DFM/DFA, factory collaboration, tooling and injection molding troubleshooting, validation testing, reliability analysis, and quality investigations. The engineer works cross-functionally with product development, industrial design, electrical engineering, quality, compliance, and legal teams while supporting cost reduction, product safety, and production improvements.

Provides bilingual French and English technical customer support by phone, email, chat, and social media. Troubleshoots Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, app pairing, and smart kitchen devices; manages orders, parts, warranties, returns, and recalls. Maintains detailed interaction records, follows up with customers, and shares product feedback with software, hardware, and product teams. The role starts remotely and transitions to a hybrid schedule in Mahwah, New Jersey, within 12 months.

Build and maintain scalable AWS infrastructure, Terraform IaC, CI/CD pipelines, and MLOps platforms to support model training, deployment, monitoring, and lifecycle management. Partner with ML engineers to enable Generative AI and LLM applications (including AWS Bedrock), improve automation, observability, reliability, security, and cost efficiency across development and production environments.

Lead sourcing strategies, supplier negotiations, and vendor management to drive cost savings across logistics, freight, packaging, distribution, and CapEx. Own supplier onboarding, audits, and production trials; negotiate software and service renewals; identify supply risks and implement cost-reduction initiatives. Attend trade shows to source suppliers and technologies.

Lead product development from concept to launch, ensuring requirements and schedules are clear and teams are aligned. Communicate across technical and business teams, managing the full product lifecycle.
