Integrate and provision server deliveries, maintain tooling for burn-in, stress-testing and phase-out, contribute upstream to OpenStack/Ironic, and improve automation and configuration management using Python, git, and CM tools. Collaborate with senior engineers and international user communities.

Join a CERN experimental physics group to develop and lead an independent research programme. Tasks include data analysis, detector design/construction/operations, collaborating with physicists and engineers, and presenting results within CERN's scientific community.

Design, develop and test mixed-signal and FPGA-based electronics and embedded firmware (VHDL/C) for radiation and environmental monitoring. Build test benches, perform characterisation under radiation, troubleshoot issues, integrate firmware updates, and maintain CI/CD and documentation (GitLab, Jira) to ensure reliable system operation.

Design, simulate, and verify digital architecture for next-generation ASIC front-end. Prepare RTL for tapeout using open-source EDA flows, perform floorplanning and physical design preparation, support post-fabrication bring-up and validation, and collaborate with analogue, verification, and SoC teams.

Contribute to design and development of electromechanical systems for accelerator beam transfer. Produce 3D models, manufacturing drawings and BOMs. Support manufacturing, assembly, testing and installation. Collaborate with physicists, engineers and technicians and participate in development of high-voltage pulsed power and accelerator technologies.

Partner with stakeholders to develop and deliver CERNs technical competency learning strategy. Manage LMS and e-learning, source providers, evaluate training effectiveness, run departmental learning needs analyses, oversee the Training Centre, coordinate budget, supervise a small team, and contribute to HR-LD projects and policies.

Lead and coordinate regulatory authorisations and permitting for the FCC project in France and Switzerland. Develop authorization strategy, manage cross-functional regulatory working groups, oversee land acquisition/property strategy, prepare regulatory documentation, monitor regulatory schedule and risks, and report on progress using project monitoring tools.

Design, build and operate high-throughput Python backend services and ingestion pipelines for scientific metadata and full text. Migrate harvests to Airflow, expand Model Context Protocol services, optimise OpenSearch relevance and indexing, migrate archival items to AtoM, build REST APIs, apply CI/CD, containerised deployments, testing and monitoring, and contribute to open source.

Lead technical review, installation, integration, testing and commissioning of CMS safety infrastructure (fire protection, environmental monitoring, alarm/action logic). Coordinate stakeholders, guide risk assessments, ensure compliance with safety standards, and improve safety processes across underground and surface experimental facilities during Long Shutdown 3.

Design, prototype, fabricate and integrate mechanical structures and services for the CMS innermost detector region. Create 3D models and 2D drawings, perform thermo-mechanical and structural FEA, oversee procurement and quality control, lead assembly of prototypes and final systems, and support integration, testing and commissioning at CERN.
