Supports marketing, communications, donor recruitment, and community outreach campaigns for a blood center. Responsibilities include creating and publishing digital content, managing website updates, coordinating events and blood drives, developing donor stories, monitoring social media and website inquiries, preparing performance reports, supporting media relations, and maintaining promotional materials and calendars. The role also coordinates volunteers, speakers, vendors, community partners, and event logistics.

Manages hospital blood product orders, inventory, labeling, preparation, packing, shipping, and delivery. Provides customer service to hospital partners, maintains records and equipment documentation, performs quality control checks, follows SOPs, regulations, cGMPs, and blood-handling procedures, and assists with specialized processing such as washing units and adding satellite bags. The role may also transport blood products and supplies across the service area.

Supports the Quality Assurance Department by organizing and reviewing records, maintaining storage and licenses, gathering information for regulatory reports, reviewing blood product deviations and laboratory notifications, and preparing audit and compliance documentation. Provides office support, coordinates correspondence with hospitals, maintains department calendars, and backs up the Quality Assurance Specialist. The role requires independent work, strong communication and proofreading skills, confidentiality, computer proficiency, and knowledge of healthcare or regulatory requirements.

Leads process excellence, compliance, validation, document control, training, equipment readiness, and audit preparation for Hospital Services at a blood center. Investigates quality incidents, performs root cause analysis, implements CAPAs, maintains SOPs and training records, administers MediaLab, coordinates equipment and procedure validations, supports regulatory inspections, and oversees trials and special collections for protocol adherence and documentation compliance.

Manages blood product inventory, storage equipment, order fulfillment, transportation coordination, and regulatory compliance. Supervises product management technicians and drivers, including scheduling, training, competency assessment, and performance evaluation. Uses data to optimize staffing coverage and driver routes, addresses customer complaints and order delays, maintains equipment validation and repairs, and supports SOP updates. Ensures blood products are safely supplied and distributed while maintaining quality, compliance, customer service, and fiscal integrity.

Perform moderate and high-complexity blood donor and patient laboratory testing, interpret and report results, perform QC/QA, prepare blood components, support hospital customers, maintain regulatory compliance (CAP, CLIA, AABB, FDA, OSHA), train staff, and troubleshoot laboratory systems.

Perform accounts payable/receivable and payroll functions, process bi-weekly payroll, reconcile accounts and bank statements, prepare journal entries and financial statements, maintain Paylocity and NetSuite, assist with audits, 1099s, tax filings, 401k administration, and clerical document management while following internal controls.
