Obtains insurance authorizations for required patient encounters and delivers the Important Medicare Message to patients. The role requires healthcare-setting experience, knowledge of medical terminology and insurance processes, strong prioritization and multitasking abilities, attention to detail, and excellent customer service.

Provides inpatient obstetric and gynecologic care, including diagnosing and treating reproductive health conditions, managing pregnancy and childbirth, performing necessary surgeries, and promoting preventive health. This laborist role involves 24-hour shifts with no outpatient clinic responsibilities. The physician delivers empathetic, patient-centered care while collaborating with the clinical team and maintaining CarolinaEast standards of excellence.

Checks medications dispensed by the pharmacy, provides drug-use information, and delivers safe, age-appropriate pharmaceutical care to patients. The pharmacist must hold a current North Carolina license, use the pharmacy computer system, work rotating shifts and callback coverage, follow pharmacy and IV admixture policies, and provide excellent customer service.
