Lead the architecture, implementation, and team development for an edge data distribution system supporting private 5G networks. Responsibilities include designing reliable cloud-to-edge synchronization, offline resiliency, consistency and conflict resolution, security boundaries, connectivity services, technical roadmaps, hands-on engineering, customer collaboration, and recruiting and developing distributed systems engineers.

Lead business intelligence and market research to inform consumer strategy. Design and run quantitative and qualitative studies, build dashboards and financial models (P&L, pricing, ROI), analyze willingness-to-pay and feature trade-offs, and deliver actionable recommendations to senior leadership. Own metrics, tracking systems, and cross-functional insight execution.

First in-house lawyer responsible for broad corporate legal work: regulatory compliance, government and commercial contracts, IP, employment, and AI-related legal issues. Build internal legal processes, templates, and compliance frameworks; manage outside counsel; advise cross-functional teams and leadership on corporate transactions and legal risk as the company scales.

Design, implement, and manage corporate security controls across identity, endpoints, network, and data. Lead IAM/SSO/MFA, EDR/MDM, email/DLP, vulnerability management, vendor risk assessments, phishing simulations, and incident investigations. Support compliance, audits, pen-tests/red-team remediation, and security culture through training and cross-functional collaboration.

Lead and scale Cape's security organization to protect a carrier-grade cellular network and corporate systems. Own security strategy, architecture, incident response, red-teaming, threat modeling, vendor/auditor relationships, and board-level risk communication while embedding security into product development.

Design and manage cloud and product security for AWS, perform security assessments and pen-test remediation, integrate security into DevOps/IaC, mentor engineers, and advise on compliance and threat mitigation across mobile core, applications, and cloud environments.

Own and improve Cape's developer experience: CI/CD/build infrastructure, local dev environments, internal tooling and SDKs, AI-assisted development workflows, reliability, security-aware developer platforms (FedRAMP-adjacent), metrics, documentation, and developer productivity improvements across the engineering organization.

Build and own core privacy-first telecommunications software: resilient, secure signaling, detection/prevention of malicious signaling, fake base-stations, SPAM/Smishing, and scalable APIs and infrastructure. Deliver high-performance, reliable systems with end-to-end privacy and security.

Drive execution of complex, cross-functional programs across security, engineering, and product. Design and optimize processes, remove roadblocks, manage risks, and ensure timely, high-quality integration of technologies for Government, Enterprise, and Consumer customers.

Embed with federal customers to deploy, configure, and sustain Cape's mobile core and secure networking products. Prototype and write production-grade integrations, troubleshoot live incidents, translate mission needs into engineering priorities, and drive platform fixes. Work cross-functionally with product, engineering, and business development to convert pilots into sustained programs.

Lead Cape's federal engineering org to architect and deliver secure, resilient, scalable networking and platform solutions for government and defense customers. Build and mentor an engineering team, translate mission requirements into deployable systems, own technical delivery and compliance, and engage directly with federal stakeholders to ensure accreditable, mission-ready communications in contested environments.

Embed with federal and enterprise customers to scope, deploy, integrate, and support Cape's privacy-first mobile network. Prototype and write production-grade glue code, troubleshoot production networks, run pilots and exercises, and translate field requirements into prioritized engineering work. Deliver technical support during incidents and drive platform fixes back into the roadmap.

Build and maintain privacy-focused telecommunications infrastructure and deployment tooling. Own full lifecycle development, monitoring/instrumentation, high-availability systems, FedRAMP accreditation, and integration of telecom components. Shape engineering practices and balance short-term needs with long-term roadmap.

Lead Cape's government engagement by developing multi-year policy and stakeholder strategies, mapping federal relationships, forecasting political and regulatory changes, shaping beneficial policy, managing advisors and partnerships, and running industry-government events to advance company objectives.
