Supports drilling rig and camp operations through general upkeep, material loading and unloading, pipe cleaning, fueling assistance, relocation preparation, and support for floor crews and skilled trades. Reports spills, environmental damage, and unsafe conditions while following HSE policies. The role requires working indoors and outdoors in hazardous conditions, including at heights up to 175 feet. On-the-job training is provided.

The Assistant Controller reviews journal entries, reconciliations, project accounting, billing, revenue formulas, and financial reports. The role researches complex accounting transactions for US GAAP and corporate compliance, supports audits, documents procedures, recommends process improvements, and mentors or assists in supervising accounting staff. It also requires collaboration across a multi-business environment and accurate, timely financial analysis.

Operate from the derrick racking platform during pipe tripping, maintain and condition drilling fluids (test weight/viscosity, add chemicals), perform preventive maintenance and inspections on above-floor and mud system equipment, support casing operations and escape buggy setup, act as relief driller or pit watcher, maintain HSET compliance, report spills and environmental issues, and assist driller with daily rig duties and logs.

Operate front-end loader and forklift to move, load/unload, and store rig equipment and mud tubulars; maintain and service equipment; keep rig pad clear of snow and organized; assist rig crew and maintain HSE, inventory, and documentation.

Maintain confidential shareholder payment records, process and reconcile distributions, update direct deposit and banking information, research and reissue or redistribute payments (including to heirs), respond to shareholder inquiries, and provide administrative support including mail processing and data entry.

Provide executive leadership for enterprise HR across a multi-business organization: talent acquisition, HRIS, compensation, benefits, labor relations, compliance, workforce development, safety, and organizational effectiveness. Lead HR strategy, supervise HR staff, coordinate with Holding Lines and Board, manage employee relations, labor contracts, audits, risk/claims, and corporate reporting. Based in Anchorage with occasional travel and remote work upon approval.

Responsible for maintaining project and general ledger records, monitoring project costs, funding, and revenue recognition. Prepare project/monthly financial reports, reconciliations, bank reconciliations, journal entries, financial statement analysis, audit workpapers, prepaid amortization schedules, and tax returns as needed. Communicate with project managers, review A/P and expense reports, and support intercompany and audit activities.

Oversees project and general ledger accounting for assigned projects: sets up projects per contract, monitors costs and revenue recognition, prepares reconciliations, bank and financial statement analyses, journal entries, audit workpapers, tax returns, and supports intercompany activities and reporting.

Perform preventive maintenance and minor repairs on diesel-electric drilling rig mechanical systems (engines, generators, hydraulics, boilers, pumps). Inspect equipment daily, complete motor reports and spill inspections, assist rig crew with operations and waste/spill tracking, and follow Nordic HSE policies and procedures.

Perform general upkeep and operation of drilling rig floor equipment, handle pipe and fittings, assist with rig relocations and maintenance, follow HSE procedures, support driller and service companies, perform minor repairs, and maintain rig cleanliness and safety in harsh outdoor and enclosed rig environments.

The Pit Watcher supports drilling rig operations by ensuring mud system control, operating rig equipment, maintaining safety standards, and performing manual tasks. Duties include equipment handling, maintenance, communication with team members, and reporting any non-conformances or hazards.

The Business Intelligence Analyst analyzes complex data for finance teams, develops reports and dashboards, and enhances financial reporting solutions. They collaborate with teams to ensure reporting accuracy and alignment with business needs.

Responsible for supervising rig crew, ensuring safety, and communicating with management regarding drilling operations. Requires safety training, and at least 5 years of rig experience including 2 years on arctic rigs.
