The role requires onboarding complex legal entities and high-risk customers while maintaining regulatory standards, improving processes, and coordinating with Operations, Trading, Sales, and Management in a fast-paced fintech environment.

Reviews customer applications and KYC documentation, conducts sanctions, PEP, and adverse media screening, performs CDD and EDD reviews, assesses customer risk, makes risk-based onboarding decisions, escalates complex cases, maintains audit-ready records, and improves compliance onboarding processes.

Lead company-wide strategic planning, OKRs, growth strategy, business case modeling, and complex cross-functional initiatives. Advise executives, align product, engineering, and commercial teams, and drive measurable outcomes across the organization. Design and build secure, scalable backend services for stablecoin issuance, including minting, burning, compliance controls, APIs, webhooks, audit trails, and smart-contract integrations. Develop event-driven microservices, ensure transactional integrity and operational reliability, and collaborate across engineering and financial crime teams. Provide technical leadership through architecture decisions, code reviews, mentoring, production ownership, monitoring, and incident response.

Lead BVNK’s FCA-authorised UK entity through cryptoasset services authorisation and ongoing operations. Own strategy, commercial performance, governance, regulatory compliance, prudential requirements, risk oversight, financial resources, and FCA engagement. Establish effective UK mind and management, oversee Senior Managers Regime obligations, lead the senior management team, maintain three lines of defence, and represent the business with regulators, boards, Mastercard, partners, and other stakeholders.

Own customer implementations from commercial handoff through production go-live. The role manages implementation plans, milestones, dependencies, testing, configuration, certification, launch readiness, risks, and cross-functional coordination. It provides technical guidance on APIs, webhooks, authentication, and payment infrastructure; troubleshoots integration issues; manages scope changes; communicates with customers; and develops repeatable implementation processes, documentation, and playbooks.

Own technical strategy for complex enterprise sales opportunities across discovery, solution design, validation, procurement, and close. Design scalable integrations using APIs, payment rails, and stablecoin infrastructure; lead demonstrations, workshops, proofs of concept, architecture reviews, and technical handoffs. Partner with Sales, Product, Engineering, Compliance, Security, and Delivery while identifying risks and product gaps. Mentor Solutions Engineers and develop reusable architectures, standards, enablement materials, and market insights.

Manage a portfolio of banking, crypto, payments, and FX customers; oversee onboarding and go-live; drive product adoption, growth, renewals, and upsells; conduct customer reviews; reduce churn; represent customer needs internally; and use data-driven insights to solve problems and improve success processes.

Manage and grow enterprise client relationships within payments and fintech. Responsibilities include developing account growth strategies, driving upselling and cross-selling, leading renewals and negotiations, improving retention, resolving customer issues, analyzing account performance, monitoring industry and regulatory trends, and using AI and automation to improve client experiences and workflows.

Supports the U.S. BSA/AML and sanctions compliance program through transaction monitoring, investigations, SAR drafting, KYC/KYB and CDD/EDD reviews, regulatory filings, policy updates, examinations, and workflow improvements. Advise on product development, regulatory and legal risks, marketing compliance, data privacy, intellectual property, corporate governance, employment, disputes, and litigation while supporting global legal operations.

Oversee Malta regulatory compliance for BVNK’s Electronic Money Institution and Crypto-Asset Service Provider. Responsibilities include compliance monitoring, regulatory submissions, horizon scanning, policy management, breach assessments, product and token risk reviews, marketing approvals, complaints oversight, capital adequacy monitoring, operational resilience, training, and regulatory guidance. The role requires knowledge of MFSA rules, MiCA, EMD, PSD2, and related financial services regulations.

Own BVNK’s product marketing and sales enablement function, including customer insights, communications, adoption campaigns, competitive intelligence, and AI-powered workflow automation. Develop positioning, customer-facing materials, lifecycle communications, and enablement systems that help commercial teams win, retain, and expand accounts. Collaborate across Product, Sales, Marketing, Customer Success, Legal, and Compliance to drive adoption, activation, expansion revenue, and consistent customer messaging.

Oversee UK regulatory compliance for an electronic money institution within the second line of defence. Maintain compliance policies, monitoring frameworks, safeguarding and conduct controls, and financial promotions approvals. Track regulatory developments, prepare senior management and board reporting, support FCA engagement, and oversee operational resilience, complaints, Consumer Duty, and outsourcing compliance. Provide regulatory advice to product, engineering, and commercial teams launching payments, APIs, stablecoin capabilities, and digital asset services. Support future UK cryptoasset license applications.

Serves as the senior US legal advisor, overseeing commercial contracts, product counsel, regulatory compliance, corporate governance, litigation, risk management, and legal strategy. Advises executives and the board, leads the US legal team, manages external counsel, supports Mastercard integration, monitors financial services regulations, and partners with product, commercial, compliance, finance, and operational teams across global jurisdictions.

Review sanctions, watchlist, and transaction-monitoring alerts; conduct end-to-end investigations involving fiat and digital assets; draft Suspicious Activity Reports; escalate control improvements; and test transaction-monitoring rule changes. The role requires digital-asset transaction-monitoring experience in a regulated B2B institution, blockchain analytics expertise, strong written and verbal English, autonomy, and the ability to manage complex investigations and competing priorities.

Reviews sanctions, watchlist, and transaction-monitoring alerts; conducts financial crime investigations involving fiat and digital assets; drafts Suspicious Activity Reports; tests monitoring-rule changes; and recommends improvements to financial crime controls. The role requires independent judgment, strong written and verbal communication, prioritization in a fast-paced environment, and flexible coverage between 06:00 and 20:00 GMT/BST, including occasional weekend shifts.

Manage Singapore compliance within BVNK’s second-line function. Responsibilities include maintaining policies and controls, monitoring regulatory developments, supporting MAS engagement and submissions, delivering compliance monitoring and assurance, advising on products and partnerships, supporting reporting and governance, and collaborating with Compliance, Legal, Risk, Financial Crime, Product, and Operations teams.
