The Staff Backend Software Engineer will define architecture and technical strategy for bsport’s Core platform. Responsibilities include designing scalable distributed systems, developing shared data models and platform capabilities, improving reliability and observability, guiding cross-team technical decisions, mentoring engineers, and contributing hands-on code. The role spans APIs, infrastructure, authentication, permissions, buyables, AI semantic-layer foundations, and technologies including Python, Django, PostgreSQL, AWS, RabbitMQ, and Kafka.
