Associate Counsel will draft, negotiate, and manage construction, project development, EPC, operations and maintenance, subcontract, vendor, NDA, and other commercial agreements. The role oversees contract lifecycle and compliance, supports tax credit and incentive programs, advises internal teams on legal risks, monitors renewable energy regulations, and contributes to broader legal matters including financing, M&A, governance, insurance, real estate, intellectual property, employment, disputes, and compliance.

Supports geothermal drilling business development by sourcing and screening bid opportunities, monitoring bid platforms, reviewing solicitation documents, preparing prequalification and bonding materials, coordinating bid responses, and managing opportunity data in HubSpot and Monday.com. The role tracks deadlines, maintains compliance records, supports estimating and business development teams, and provides pipeline reporting. It requires strong organization, attention to detail, written communication, and familiarity with construction bidding or public procurement processes.

Leads technical and commercial sales engineering for commercial HVAC and energy-efficiency solutions. Partners with business development, engineering, manufacturers, contractors, and customers to identify, develop, and close complex opportunities. Oversees technical proposals, system recommendations, presentations, negotiations, sales lifecycle progression, and transition to project execution. Establishes sales engineering processes, standards, performance expectations, revenue goals, and strategic industry relationships while providing executive-level technical leadership.

Manage legal operations systems, contract templates, matter and vendor trackers, entity and license compliance, board and governance support, insurance and policy administration, records-retention and outside-counsel spend tracking, and continuous improvement of legal workflows and tools.

Lead product development for Brightcore EDGE, combining deep HVAC and geothermal engineering expertise with IoT and timeseries analytics. Define anomaly detection, KPIs, and developer-ready specifications, run agile delivery for a small engineering team, and translate field data and customer needs into roadmap and product features that optimize large-scale geothermal system operations.

Sell energy efficiency and clean energy solutions (lighting, motors/drives, HVAC, geothermal, solar, battery storage) end-to-end: manage pipeline in CRM, develop tailored proposals with product/analyst support, close contracts, and hand off to operations to ensure project execution and meet revenue targets.

Own and harden the on-premise edge computing platform for Brightcore EDGE, including hardware selection, Linux OS provisioning, security hardening, local data logging, time-series storage, telemetry pipelines, and BMS integration (BACnet/Modbus). Rapidly prototype, document deployment standards, support field commissioning, and collaborate with engineering, HVAC, and IT/OT security teams.

Owner of geothermal innovation engineering: evaluate technical feasibility and customer value, perform HVAC, heat transfer, and fluid dynamics modeling, run techno-economic analyses, lead prototyping and experiments, produce PRDs and technical collateral, support pilots and product rollouts, and collaborate with monitoring, design, and business teams.
