Collaborate with Product, Technology, Data, and Operations teams to translate regulatory requirements into scalable technical controls.

Own Vision Chain, Bitpanda’s OP Stack Layer 2 blockchain, as a technical product. Lead infrastructure configuration, protocol modifications, provider partnerships, reliability, incidents, costs, compliance, privacy, identity, developer documentation, and technical onboarding. Translate regulatory and business needs into engineering requirements, coordinate internal and external teams, and align the chain roadmap with Web3 product development.

Lead the development of Bitpanda’s DeFi ecosystem on Vision Chain, beginning with crypto-backed borrowing and lending. Design lending markets, risk parameters, liquidity strategies, infrastructure, customer experiences, and monitoring processes. Evaluate protocols and partners while collaborating with engineering, Legal, Compliance, and Risk teams to deliver regulated, accessible DeFi products under EU regulations including MiCA.

Design end-to-end Web3, trading, investment, and fintech experiences across mobile and web. Simplify complex financial products into intuitive interfaces, conduct research and usability testing, optimize customer metrics, contribute to scalable design systems, and use AI to rapidly create coded prototypes and validate ideas with customers. Collaborate with engineering, product, and compliance teams in a regulated environment.

Design end-to-end Web3, trading, and investment experiences across mobile and web. Simplify complex financial products into intuitive interfaces, conduct user research and usability testing, optimize conversion and engagement using behavioral data, and contribute to scalable design systems. Partner with engineering, product, and compliance teams in a regulated environment. Use AI tools and coded prototypes to accelerate ideation, testing, and delivery.

Lead end-to-end procurement and strategic sourcing initiatives, including requirements gathering, RFPs, supplier negotiations, contract renewals, third-party risk management, and procurement governance. Partner with Legal, Compliance, Finance, Information Security, and senior leadership to optimize spend, reduce costs, assess total cost of ownership, manage commercial risks, and improve procure-to-pay workflows. The role requires strong analytical, negotiation, contract, and bilingual English-German communication skills.

Manage domestic and international tax compliance and reporting, including corporate income tax and VAT. Assess tax implications for cryptocurrencies, digital assets, and financial products; oversee international tax, transfer pricing, permanent establishment risks, audits, and external advisors. Partner with Accounting, Legal, Product, and Compliance teams to embed tax requirements into processes and launches. Lead automation, data-driven reporting, and tax process improvements.

Support the Payments team by developing production-grade Java code for backend services and microservices. Collaborate with senior engineers, product managers, and QA while learning design patterns, microservice architecture, relational databases, message queues, and automated testing. Contribute to active payments projects in a six-month, full-time internship beginning February 2027.

Build and maintain ETL pipelines using Python and SQL, create reliable datasets and data models, apply testing and CI/CD practices, and collaborate with Product, Operations, and Finance teams. The internship includes mentorship, project ownership, and hands-on experience with cloud-based data engineering.

The Business Intelligence Intern will build and maintain datasets, improve data quality using dbt and SQL, support dashboard creation, and optimize self-service BI across Finance, Product, and Operations. The role contributes to dimensional modeling, core data-layer improvements, data quality, and version-controlled workflows while gaining hands-on experience with a modern data stack in a FinTech environment.

Manage Bitpanda’s Vienna headquarters front desk and serve as the primary contact for visitors, employees, customers, suppliers, and partners. Provide information, organize meetings and workshops, coordinate courier and mailing services, order office supplies, handle employee requests, support onboarding and offboarding, and assist with workplace projects. The role requires strong organization, interpersonal communication, hospitality, German and English proficiency, and confidence using Google Workspace tools.

Supports end-to-end employee lifecycle administration, maintains accurate employee records in Workday, resolves first-line HR inquiries through Jira, and contributes to HR operations projects and process improvements. The role requires strong attention to detail, adaptability, empathy, communication skills, and enthusiasm for HR operations. It is a 12-month, full-time internship beginning January 2027 with a hybrid working model.

Build and improve business intelligence capabilities across Finance, Product, Operations, and other teams. The role identifies reporting needs, enables self-service dashboard creation, supports BI visualization and data-model design, develops datasets and models, and maintains data quality using dbt and SQL. The analyst collaborates with data engineering and business stakeholders to deliver reliable metrics and insights that support growth and decision-making.

Support group consolidation and IFRS accounting activities, including month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes. Perform intercompany reconciliations, assist with financial statement disclosures and technical notes, prepare audit documentation, and respond to routine external audit queries. The role also involves improving consolidation templates and reporting workflows within a fast-paced fintech environment.

Perform risk-based control testing, continuous monitoring, issue remediation, risk and control assessments, and control documentation across business, operational, product, and finance processes. Partner with cross-functional stakeholders while maintaining second-line independence, validating evidence and action plans, conducting root cause analysis, and ensuring audit-ready records and effective controls.

Support QA engineers by testing features, designing and executing test cases, documenting and tracking bugs, collaborating with developers and BAs, and participating in sprint planning to improve product quality.

Own the enterprise data protection management system, liaise with European, UK, and UAE supervisory authorities, advise executives and product and engineering teams on privacy, AI, and blockchain initiatives, oversee controls and remediation, manage complex DSARs, data breach response, processing agreements, international transfers, and company-wide privacy training.

Lead Bitpanda Group’s global data protection strategy as Group Data Protection Officer. Design and manage the enterprise privacy framework, liaise with European, UK, and UAE supervisory authorities, advise executives and product and engineering teams on GDPR, blockchain, and AI initiatives, oversee control testing and remediation, manage complex data requests and breaches, negotiate data processing agreements and international transfers, and deliver privacy training.
