Develop and maintain case files for defendants released on bond, verify defendant and case information, monitor compliance with bond conditions, prepare correspondence and reports of violations, contact defendants who fail to comply, and respond to inquiries from courts, attorneys, and the public.

Collect, analyze, and distribute law enforcement data to produce criminal intelligence products (link analysis, temporal analysis, maps, charts). Maintain intelligence databases, support investigations, coordinate information sharing, prepare reports, and testify as needed. Maintain CJIS eligibility and complete background investigation.

Conduct interviews and background investigations for inmates seeking release on Personal Recognizance bonds, verify personal/employment information, prepare and submit affidavits and reports to courts, instruct defendants on release requirements, notarize bond documents, collect applicable fees, and coordinate inmate release information with jail and court staff.

Greets customers, collects payments, and processes motor vehicle registrations and title transfers for the public, dealerships, and lien holders. Verifies dealer and title service bundles, issues permits and special plates/cards, enters data accurately, and performs related office tasks including occasional inventory counts and customer assistance.

Provide individual and group Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for residents, conduct screening/assessment/referral, document admissions/progress/incidents, prepare statistical and outcome reports, determine treatment suitability, maintain records, ensure HIPAA compliance and program/contract adherence, collaborate with facility leadership, and participate in departmental meetings.

Provides advanced clerical support including typing complex correspondence, maintaining personnel records and statistics, preparing reports, data entry, assisting with budgets, answering phones, filing, and potentially supervising or training clerical staff. Requires independent work, strong office procedure knowledge, and completion of background, physical, and drug screening.

Maintain, program, and troubleshoot county public safety communications and LAN infrastructure including P25/analog LMR and microwave links. Perform on-site commissioning, RF measurements, equipment moves, inventory tracking, documentation, user training, and after-hours network support. Lead assigned projects and collaborate with Network Architecture and Technical Support teams.

Processes disciplinary actions and grievances for the Detention Division: drafts disciplinary documents, prepares and attends hearings, researches policies and case history, maintains calendars and caseload statistics, prepares time-sensitive responses, and assists higher-level grievance and legal staff with complex cases.

Receive, sort, and distribute incoming, outgoing, and interoffice mail; deliver and collect mail using pushcart and vehicle; maintain accountable mail logs and prepare reports; interact with customers and provide postal service information; perform data entry and other assigned duties.

Provide general court and office support: respond to inquiries, assist with operations and special projects, maintain information security and professional demeanor, perform light physical tasks and operate office equipment. Internship is at least 12 weeks and may qualify for college credit.

Provide criminal defense representation at magistration and related hearings, interview defendants, advise clients on charges and bond, consult with experts and prosecutors, manage caseloads, and perform related duties supporting indigent defendants.

Provide on-site technical support for PCs, peripherals, and LANs: troubleshoot network and communication issues, install/relocate hardware and software, run diagnostics, maintain records, respond to after-hours calls, train users, and travel to remote county sites as needed. Must pass background check and required pre-employment screens.

Supervise misdemeanor and felony probationers through TRAS-based assessments, case management, field and office contacts, referrals to services, evidence-based practices, progressive sanctions/incentives, recordkeeping in the Case Management System (CSS), and reporting violations. Maintain confidentiality, conduct intakes/orientations, transport offenders per policy, and ensure fee collection and court compliance.

Coordinate and lead Bexar County WMD/Hazmat teams: advise Incident Command, provide NIMS/ICS and Hazmat training, plan exercises, manage equipment and medical surveillance, apply for grants, conduct community outreach, and ensure safety and compliance.

Develop and execute the Economic and Community Development department's community engagement strategy. Draft press releases and kits, manage social media and website content, design outreach graphics, track program metrics, conduct field research, support public meetings, and coordinate media relations to inform constituents and advance department initiatives.

Provide immigration consultations and support to MAC panel attorneys and clients; manage legal resources and intake assignments; liaise with courts; assist as first or second chair counsel when feasible; monitor financial claims and caseload adherence; support training, publications, and juvenile defense initiatives; track legislative and practice changes in immigration law.

Provide HR subject-matter expertise across employment law, compliance, talent acquisition, workforce planning, and total rewards. Manage full-cycle recruiting, draft job descriptions, screen candidates, attend recruiting events, deliver testing/training, and advise managers and employees to align HR strategies with organizational goals.

Provide criminal defense representation at magistration and related proceedings: interview defendants, research charges and history, advise on Article 15.17 hearings, consult with jail, mental health and prosecution staff, manage caseloads, and perform related duties. Must be licensed in Texas and able to work nonstandard hours.
