Teams at Bexar County

Oversees county program support, guardianship, and pauper burial programs; ensures statutory and policy compliance; supervises staff; manages budgets, procurement, HR, IT, contracts, reporting, and process improvement; develops long-term economic and community development plans; and represents the department with courts, officials, agencies, and community organizations.

Serves as a strategic HR partner to county offices and departments, advising leaders on employment law, compliance, workforce planning, talent management, organizational design, compensation, engagement, and performance management. Conducts market studies, job analyses, compensation and classification reviews, and maintains job descriptions. Supports budgeting, benefits, learning, rewards, and other HR programs while improving processes and advising supervisors and managers.

Monitors juvenile offender caseloads through home, school, and office visits; conducts interviews and social history investigations; develops supervision plans; counsels juveniles and families; prepares court documents; represents the department at hearings; administers drug tests; coordinates referrals and transportation; trains probation officers; and facilitates community, school, and parent education programs.
