Manages IT relationships with agency leadership and business partners, coordinating service delivery, projects, procurements, escalations, product roadmaps, and technology improvements. Builds trust, communicates customer needs, resolves conflicts, prioritizes requests, aligns IT strategy with execution, and supports compliance with organizational policies and standards. The role requires extensive IT experience, strategic thinking, executive communication, negotiation, product line planning, and stakeholder management.

Administer and support SQL Server and cloud databases for VDOT’s tolling operations. Responsibilities include monitoring availability, troubleshooting connectivity and security issues, tuning SQL and very large databases, managing upgrades and migrations, supporting failover clustering, diagnosing deadlocks and blocking, and improving database processes. The role also includes help desk and application support rotation, documentation, scripting, data modeling, and collaboration with engineering and operations teams.

Administer biomedical research grants throughout the pre-award, post-award, reconciliation, closeout, and reporting lifecycle. Track budgets, expenditures, invoices, agreements, amendments, compliance documentation, and electronic grant files. Provide technical assistance and coordinate with grant recipients, Principal Investigators, Sponsored Research Officers, internal teams, and external stakeholders. Perform data entry, analysis, reporting, and grant-related communications for the Florida Department of Health.
