Provides outpatient gastroenterology care, including diagnostic endoscopies and colonoscopies, diagnosis and treatment planning, preventive screenings, specialized gastrointestinal treatments, patient education, referrals, and continuity of care. Collaborates with multidisciplinary teams, maintains medical records, communicates test results, and may participate in research or clinical trials. The role has no hospital call or rounding and uses Allscripts EMR.
