Leads Bernalillo County’s IT Applications Group and Project Management Team. Directs strategic planning, budgeting, staffing, vendor procurement, technology projects, quality assurance, and operational standards. Manages multiple projects across scope, budget, timelines, risks, and resources while ensuring compliance and stakeholder alignment. Supervises, mentors, and evaluates project managers and other staff, promotes Agile or Waterfall best practices, presents status reports, and drives continuous process improvement.

Leads the IT Project Management Team and oversees technology projects from planning through delivery. Develops strategic plans, budgets, staffing models, policies, and vendor specifications; allocates resources; manages risks, quality assurance, procurement, and stakeholder communications. Supervises, mentors, and evaluates project managers while ensuring projects meet scope, schedule, budget, quality, compliance, and organizational objectives. The role also oversees IT infrastructure-related operations and may require occasional travel, evening, holiday, or weekend work.
