Oversees civil engineering and construction projects involving utilities, roadways, bridges, drainage, traffic systems, and vertical construction. Reviews designs and development applications, prepares specifications and construction documents, coordinates consultants and agencies, monitors schedules and contracts, conducts inspections, maintains project records, and ensures compliance with county standards, ordinances, codes, and MUTCD requirements. Responsibilities include public improvement planning, special assessment proceedings, development review, and project management from design through completion.

Supports conservation and sustainable management of county parks, open spaces, trails, and natural and cultural resources. Coordinates agricultural programs, volunteers, service projects, educational trips, forest health initiatives, trail development, and invasive-species control. Researches and monitors environmental strategies, coordinates with agencies, secures clearances, analyzes resource data using GIS and GPS, publishes updates, and maintains web and social media content. Work is primarily outdoors.

Provides intake, interviews, assessments, and case management for incarcerated individuals. Coordinates benefits enrollment, housing, treatment, Medicaid, discharge planning, reentry resources, and community services. Maintains confidential records, case notes, reports, and compliance documentation; interprets court and detention records; and liaises with correctional staff, courts, community providers, and criminal justice agencies. Requires counseling, program eligibility assessment, crisis management, and professional communication in a correctional facility environment.
