Source and evaluate vertical-market software acquisition targets, conduct founder outreach, build long-term relationships, maintain the deal pipeline, analyze financial and operational data, and support due diligence, negotiations, and deal execution with M&A and leadership teams.

Responsibilities include launching paid advertising, outbound campaigns, landing pages, SEO strategies, cross-sell programs, and conversion improvements; identifying growth loops; building reusable GTM systems and AI-assisted tools; partnering with product leads and company GMs; and hiring additional growth talent.

Source and build proactive pipelines for engineering and product talent across Beacon’s portfolio. Develop multi-channel sourcing strategies, conduct personalized outreach, calibrate candidates with recruiters and hiring managers, track sourcing metrics, maintain accurate ATS records, and monitor competitive talent markets. The role requires technical sourcing experience, strong written communication, proficiency with LinkedIn Recruiter, Boolean search, sourcing platforms, and the ability to engage technical candidates credibly.

Own the tax function across Canadian and U.S. portfolio companies, including corporate income tax, indirect tax, provisions, deferred tax, compliance calendars, and cross-border matters. Lead the ASPE-to-IFRS conversion tax workstream, support M&A and transaction tax activities, manage external tax advisors, and partner with finance leadership to build scalable tax processes and controls.

Lead growth initiatives across Beacon’s portfolio companies by identifying opportunities, prioritizing and launching revenue-driving experiments, optimizing marketing funnels and growth loops, and building repeatable go-to-market systems. The role combines copywriting, paid acquisition, outbound, landing-page development, SEO, analytics, and hands-on experimentation, while partnering with product leads and company GMs. The successful candidate may also hire and develop additional growth talent.

Serve as the primary internal legal lead for mergers and acquisitions from LOI through closing and post-closing. Responsibilities include drafting and negotiating purchase agreements, conducting broad legal due diligence, advising investment and operations teams, managing external counsel, addressing risk allocation and post-closing obligations, and developing AI-assisted legal workflows. The role requires independently managing multiple transactions, communicating clearly with business stakeholders, and applying broad legal judgment across corporate, commercial, employment, IP, regulatory, and real estate matters.
