Leads the college’s quality improvement and assurance framework across all funding streams. The role oversees inspection readiness, quality cycles, strategic performance indicators, learner and apprenticeship outcomes, and continuous improvement. It collaborates with curriculum management teams, coaches and develops staff, and promotes high-quality teaching, learning, and assessment. As a member of the Corporate Leadership Group, the Director provides strategic leadership to improve educational provision and performance.

Develop employer relationships to create apprenticeship opportunities; source, support and place candidates; manage a pipeline of vacancies and applicants; promote roles via events, campaigns and outreach; meet clear measurable targets in a high‑pace, sales‑driven recruitment environment.

Provide accounting support to the College Finance team through accurate financial reporting, management accounting, financial analysis, compliance, and maintenance of strong financial controls. The role supports budget holders and senior leaders with financial insights, governance, audit activities, and decision-making. It also involves stakeholder management, financial modelling, and potentially VAT, statutory returns, education funding frameworks, reporting dashboards, and Access Financials.

Provide impartial, inclusive careers and employability guidance to adult and 16–19 students, apprentices, external learners, and students with additional needs. Conduct individual and group guidance sessions across multiple channels, share education and employment progression information, use labour market data, support informed career decisions, signpost external services, and help students achieve positive destinations and improved retention.
