Build and optimize automated CRM and lifecycle email journeys across the guest lifecycle. Responsibilities include segmentation, personalization, dynamic content, campaign logic, HTML/CSS/AMPscript email production, QA, testing, deployment, troubleshooting, data integration, deliverability, documentation, and performance analysis using Salesforce Marketing Cloud and related CRM systems.

Coordinate warehouse, inventory, equipment, loading, unloading, and end-of-season maintenance at Backroads’ Tuscany Hub. Maintain safe, organized facilities, perform basic repairs, coordinate contractors, support seasonal staff, and collaborate with operations, fleet, field teams, and European hubs. The role requires driving vans and trailers, physical work, bilingual English and Italian communication, and travel across Italy and European hubs for approximately 5–7 weeks annually.

Analyzes booking trends, trip performance, capacity, inventory, schedules, and market insights to optimize trip offerings and support growth. Recommends capacity changes, inventory releases, departure modifications, and cancellations; contributes to assortment and strategic planning. Partners with Trip Development, Marketing, Analytics, Sales, Hotel Operations, and Yield teams, providing analyses, presentations, and data-driven recommendations to stakeholders and leadership.

Supports international accounting for European entities, including month-end and year-end close, general ledger reconciliations, intercompany transactions, currency adjustments, U.S. GAAP consolidation, statutory financial statements, tax filings, audits, and regulatory compliance. The role also coordinates with external accounting and tax partners, supports cross-border reporting, and improves consolidation and close processes across multiple currencies and jurisdictions.

Lead Backroads’ lifecycle marketing strategy across the guest journey, from initial inquiry through repeat travel and advocacy. Own roadmap development, lead nurture, retention, loyalty, re-engagement, personalization, CRM operations, segmentation, and cross-channel campaigns. Manage a small marketing team and external partners while collaborating with Creative, Content, Brand, and Analytics teams. Use customer insights and performance data to optimize engagement, retention, and business growth.

Coordinate European operations supporting active travel trips. Responsibilities include managing and maintaining the van fleet, supervising equipment loading, overseeing warehouse inventory, operating a forklift, coordinating shipping and vehicle schedules, and supporting seasonal maintenance projects. The role requires communication with field staff, administrative organization, hands-on logistics, van and trailer maneuvering, and occasional minor maintenance oversight.

Supports European operations by refurbishing and constructing trailers, maintaining vans, racks, buildings, residences, warehouses, and operational equipment. The role performs repairs, identifies maintenance needs, implements practical solutions, supports campus improvement projects, and maintains a safe, organized work environment. Occasional travel throughout Europe is required to assist with maintenance at regional hubs.
