Principal Site Reliability Engineer responsible for the availability, scalability, durability, and operational reliability of production systems. The role leads observability, incident response, SLO and error-budget practices, automation, infrastructure as code, and long-term service improvements. Responsibilities include designing monitoring and alerting frameworks, supporting Kubernetes and distributed storage environments, improving operational processes, collaborating across engineering and business teams, and mentoring reliability-focused practices. Establish technical standards, capacity strategies, documentation, and operational practices while mentoring engineers and partnering across SRE, storage, network, security, and application teams. Evaluate AIOps and agentic AI solutions to improve incident detection, correlation, and response.

Monitor and maintain storage infrastructure across data centers, resolve customer-affecting incidents, troubleshoot storage pods and hardware, support deployments and migrations, and manage alerts using Zabbix, Grafana, and OpenSearch. The role includes Ansible-based configuration changes, Jenkins deployments, network operations, post-mortems, automation, documentation, and participation in an on-call rotation.

Own the reliability, scalability, and administration of production Vitess/MySQL and Cassandra databases. Design highly available architectures, replication, backup, recovery, security, and disaster recovery strategies. Lead incident response, on-call operations, monitoring, SLO development, root cause analysis, and production readiness reviews. Automate database and infrastructure operations using scripting, Kubernetes, Terraform, Ansible, and Jenkins.
