Lead day-to-day operations of the Taranaki diagnostic laboratory, manage and develop staff, ensure accreditation and quality compliance, drive continuous improvement projects, collaborate with regional leadership, and foster a culture of safety and professional development.

Provide routine and specialized haematology diagnostics (blood smears, coagulation, thalassaemia, flow cytometry reporting, bone marrow review), support and train scientific staff, contribute to digital imaging and EQA morphology programs, and collaborate across a multi-site laboratory network.

Provide diagnostic anatomical pathology services for Canterbury and South Canterbury, focusing on skin, breast, gynecologic, urologic, ENT, and GI specimens. Participate in FNA clinic rotation, use digital pathology and immunohistochemistry, collaborate with a team of pathologists and technical staff, and support high-quality reporting.
