Leads daily Molecular and Serology laboratory operations, coordinating workflows and supporting diagnostic accuracy, quality, safety, and efficiency. Provides team supervision, training, mentoring, and communication while assisting the Laboratory Manager. Identifies and implements process improvements, supports service development, and handles workflow queries, reporting, rostering, inventory, and other administrative activities.

Provide diagnostic anatomical pathology services for Canterbury and South Canterbury, focusing on skin, breast, gynecologic, urologic, ENT, and GI specimens. Participate in FNA clinic rotation, use digital pathology and immunohistochemistry, collaborate with a team of pathologists and technical staff, and support high-quality reporting.

Provide routine and specialized haematology diagnostics (blood smears, coagulation, thalassaemia, flow cytometry reporting, bone marrow review), support and train scientific staff, contribute to digital imaging and EQA morphology programs, and collaborate across a multi-site laboratory network.
