Owns long-range master production planning and finite manufacturing scheduling for biologics operations. Balances demand, capacity, equipment, personnel, materials, and facility constraints across upstream, downstream, formulation, and support activities. Leads campaign sequencing, schedule adherence, scenario modeling, and real-time rescheduling while maintaining cGMP compliance. Partners with Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Quality, Engineering, and other functions to optimize throughput and OTIF performance. Manages scheduling staff or serves as the site scheduling subject-matter expert.

Leads downstream biopharmaceutical process development from early development through scale-up, technology transfer, and manufacturing implementation. Manages approximately five scientists and engineers, directs purification process optimization, oversees downstream unit operations, supports GMP manufacturing, and represents the organization with clients and cross-functional teams. Establishes technical strategy, manages risks, approves development and transfer documentation, drives continuous improvement, evaluates emerging technologies, and supports workforce, budget, and business planning.

Performs cGMP upstream biopharmaceutical manufacturing, including mammalian cell culture, bioreactor operation, aseptic processing, harvest and filtration, media and buffer preparation, equipment monitoring, documentation, and investigations. Maintains cleanroom equipment, supports batch records and SOPs, coordinates materials and vendor services, troubleshoots process issues, and collaborates with Facilities, MSAT, Validation, and other departments to ensure compliant, timely product production and release.
