Aurelius Systems Benefits Overview

Owns mechanical subsystems for ruggedized, field-deployable directed-energy systems, including laser enclosures, beam directors, mounts, thermal management, and precision optomechanical packaging. Performs FEA, builds and runs test rigs, validates systems against shock and environmental standards, correlates models to testing, and supports manufacturing handoff. The role requires hands-on prototype-to-production experience, cross-functional collaboration, field testing, and mentorship of junior engineers.

Develop production C++ software for autonomous directed-energy systems, including sensor ingestion, tracking, control, and autonomy. Work with raw sensor data, threading, process architecture, latency analysis, and real-time performance. Build Python testing and range tools, debug hardware during weekly field tests, and collaborate across mechanical, electrical, optical, and software teams. The role requires hands-on implementation, rapid learning, and comfort operating in an ambiguous, fast-paced defense startup environment.

Manage executive and team calendaring, administer office software and subscriptions, maintain internal documentation and knowledge bases, support internal communications and process management, run company-wide administrative systems and workflows, and provide cross-functional project support alongside Ops for physical-digital coordination.
